ECHO Calcutta
This very special event has been conducted for over 30 years and until 2002, had been a private function with some of Australia’s and New Zealand’s finest racing personalities in attendance. Since moving this function to Crown it has become a must attend Premier Spring Carnival Event.

ECHO conducts the largest Calcutta in Victoria, perhaps Australia with a prize pool exceeding $82,000 and last year, for the first time, it increased the number attending by opening the calcutta to the public. The move to Crown has enabled ECHO to meet with increasing demands for assistance for the elderly and the capability now of providing such a service.

2009 ECHO Calcutta - Crown Casino Melbourne

Over 1000 persons attended the 2008 function to critical acclaim. Such was its success that we anticipate near 1000 persons to attend this year.

The event covers interviews with legends in the field, entertainment, superb dining and refreshments at the unique Crown Casino and of course the highlight is the Calcutta.

Time: 6PM to 12.00AM

Cost: $170 per person inclusive of GST (a receipt of $70 will be given for every ticket sold to claim as a tax deduction) - 3 course dinner, wine, beer & soft drink.

VRC Members will receive a special price of $150.00 per person (a receipt of $50 will be given for every ticket sold to claim as a tax deduction)
